Starting and ending at Travis Park, home to the city’s Christmas tree, ice skating rink, and a variety of holiday vendor stands and activities, you’ll enjoy the sights and sounds of San Antonio’s cheerful holiday scene. You’ll also be just blocks away from Holidays on Houston Street, the main street for downtown holiday festivities. Complimentary holiday glasses are included for a special view of the dazzling lights!

During the holiday season, San Antonio’s downtown comes alive with an enchanting and festive atmosphere that captivates both tourists and locals alike. What makes this experience truly magical is the incredible display of 100,000 Christmas lights that adorn the area, transforming it into a captivating winter wonderland. From the day after Thanksgiving until early January, the entire downtown area is aglow with the spirit of the season. The twinkling lights and joyful ambiance are sure to fill your heart with an abundance of joy and wonder, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Rotary Ice Rink

The Rotary Ice Rink presented by Valero will return this fall at Travis Park in downtown San Antonio. Since 2019, nearly 200,000 people have enjoyed the rink and surrounding festivities. The Rink will open the Friday before Thanksgiving and will operate daily through mid-January 2025.

Holiday Lights on the San Antonio River Walk
San Antonio River Walk
We invite you to experience the spectacular display of over 100,000 lights (2,250 strings of light) draped over the towering bald cypress trees that line the River Walk. Visiting the River Walk to enjoy the spectacular holiday lights is free. The River Walk is a public park open every day of the year, 24 hours a day. Holiday lights are on the downtown portion of the River Walk.
