Laurent
Where did you come from?
I’m originally from Middleboro, MA, but have lived in Milton, MA for the past three plus decades.
What brought you to Old Town Trolley Tours?
It may have been fate that a co-worker at Blue Hills Ski area mentioned her summer job was with another tour company that caused me to look into the possibilities; but it may also have been that my first ancestor to come to North America moved from Limousin, France to northern Quebec, Canada about the same time that the Puritans were landing in Boston and it is from this region of France that we get the English word Limousine.
What did you do prior to working at Old Town Trolley Tours?
Before OTT, I managed hospital departments through a couple of decades followed by years of marketing management for the Epilepsy Foundation clothing donation collection program and then the Snip-its Franchise Corporation.
What do you enjoy about being a conductor?
I enjoy enlightening people from all over the world to the unique history and important roles that Boston has played in the development of this country.
What do you enjoy during your free time?
I enjoy skiing, family time and activities like bike-joring and ski-joring with my Siberian Huskies and fellow snow dog lovers of the Boston Snow Dogs organization.
What kind of food do you like?
I generally enjoy the staples of our American diet; but my favorite dish is a nice grilled steak with a side of fettucine carbonara.
Do you have any pets?
I’ve always had pets; but as a child, I had a chance encounter with a beautiful blue-eyed Siberian Husky and have now had Siberian Huskies most of my adult life. My wife and I currently have three Siberians, Rebyonka, Leetza’, and Glaza.
What do you enjoy the most about Boston?
I especially enjoy how compact the city is yet how full of history, arts, sports, entertainment and the wide variety of options that are available to our visitors.
